JBL E25BT Review

Frame & Features

These buds are a bit simpler than the Reflect Contour and the Mini BT when it comes to features. For instance, the E25BT is not necessarily a fitness earphone, but rather a pair of buds for every day casual listening. Basicially, the buds are not water resistant so I don’t think you should shower in them anytime soon. Like the Reflect line, each of E25BT’s earbud housings are slightly angled for a better fit and delivery of your music. The opening for the tips are rather large, but the silicone tips still feel rather comfy when placed in your ears.

Out the Box

So what do you get? Well, these wireless earbuds feature a neck cable that connect both ear pieces. There is a built in remote and microphone on the right side and a detachable clip that helps to secure the buds on the left. A small, leather-like pouch is also thrown in as well as a micro USB charger, spare tips, and a quick start guide.

Wear

Like I’ve already said, the earbuds are pretty comfortable. My only vice is the ability to hear movement along the cable when I moved my head. Granted, this is when the cable is rubbing against my clothes and hair. The problem is completely fixed when you use the supplied shirt-clip. This clip, paired with the correct size ear tips, stabilize the buds in your ears quite well. Whether you are rockin’ out to your favorite songs or bustin’ a sprint for the train, these buds will stay put and your music just as clear. I know because I ran around and jumped up and down and things stayed put.

Sound

What the JBL E25BT lacks in sports features, it makes up for in sound. These earphones do so using 8mm drivers. The frequency response range is 20 to 20,000 Hertz strong. Seriously, I’d say this little lightweight gem provides pretty accurate audio across the entire spectrum. The bass is present with a little oomph. If you’re a major bass head, these buds may not win you over. However, if you’re looking for knocking treble claps, rich mids, and pretty crisp vocals, the E25BT is for you. Tropical house, pop, rock, and instrumentals sound great. There’s a slow pop ballad with piano and violins I love to play and never noticed there are echoes in the background until testing out these buds! Consider myself impressed!

Final Thoughts

I’d say these buds are definitely a go to if you want an affordable, lightweight, and durable wireless earphone. If you’re a huge fan of heavy bass you may want to look elsewhere, but if some solid bass and clarity across the rest of the frequency range is satisfying enough, nab these quick style. Plus, the manufacturer includes a one-year warranty so what’s not to love? Peep the specs down below and pick these up in our JBL store.
